In this project, we were fortunate to work with a truly interesting and unique attic apartment space. One half of the residence is occupied by the living room (at its highest point, the ceiling reaches 6.5 meters), while the other half is divided vertically into two rooms: a master bedroom on the first floor and a children's room with a small window on the second. To make the children's room visually brighter and more spacious, we decided to replace one of the walls facing the living room with a large window. We covered the window with dichroic film: depending on the lighting and viewing angle, it changes color and behaves like a chameleon. On the inside of the bedroom, there is a blackout curtain that is used at night, while during the day, the mirror-like properties of the film block direct visibility into the children's room without sacrificing lighting.
