At the first meeting, our clients - a young family with a three-year-old child - shared that for as long as they can remember, they have always lived in bright interiors and feel that it is time to try something new. The wife loves complex deep tones, and the apartment, for which the design project was to be developed, turned out to be very bright due to the large amount of glazing, so the idea of dark walls was born almost immediately. In addition to the color scheme task, we had to solve another difficult issue: connecting the neighboring one-room apartment to the existing two-story, three-room apartment. The ground floor houses public areas, and the second floor is completely occupied by living rooms and a laundry room. The apartment has a lot of wooden textures that smoothly flow from one room to another and unite the rooms into a cohesive composition. The presence of heated floors throughout the first floor prompted us to use wood-look vinyl as a floor covering: it has excellent thermal conductivity and is water-resistant. These advantages made it possible to lay the entire floor in the apartment as a continuous sheet, including in the bathrooms.
